Message from Bishop Burbidge on the World Day of Consecrated Life

“On the World Day of Consecrated Life, we prayerfully thank and gratefully acknowledge the Men and Women Religious who serve the Church with their selfless gift of poverty, chastity and obedience.  The very witness of their lives enrich our Diocese and reflects the Gospel message for others to see. We currently have more than 160 religious priests, brothers and sisters serving in the Catholic Diocese of Arlington, and 58 men and women from our diocese in formation with various orders. I join with Pope Francis who asks the faithful to pray for those in Consecrated Life that “through their witness of life, they may radiate to the world the love of Christ and the grace of the Gospel.”
