A Perspective You Won't Find Elsewhere

Secular publications rarely publish anything about the Catholic Church unless it's bad news. And even if it isn't bad, they seldom get the story right: they don't understand what the Church is, or they misunderstand what she does. At the Arlington Catholic HERALD, we strive to get the story right. Our combination of international, national and local news gives a broad perspective of the Church's life.

Faithful Reminders

Need to brush up on your religious knowledge? We rotate four local priests who provide weekly commentary on the Gospel readings. In addition, Arlington Bishop Paul S. Loverde's weekly column, "Encourage and Teach with Patience," provides spiritual insight and opportunity for reflection. Fr. Tad Pacholczyk writes a monthly column on bioethical issues currently impacting society.

Informed Commentary

The HERALD features award-winning columnists such as Elizabeth Foss, George Weigel, Dr. James  Hitchcock, Fr. John Rausch, Russell Shaw, Thomas Craughwell and Mary Beth Bonacci.
