The Saint John Paul II National Shrine in Washington is hosting an exhibit celebrating the life and mission of Mother Teresa, titled “Works of Love are Works of Peace.”

The exhibit which runs through Nov. 11, is offered in collaboration with photographer Michael Collopy and the Mother Teresa Institute.

The collection includes more than 80 of Collopy’s photographs of Mother Teresa, featuring intimate moments of prayer, service and daily life. The exhibit also includes some of her possessions, such as her rosary, personal writings and records.

Visitors will have the opportunity to venerate a first-class relic of Mother Teresa alongside the shrine’s permanent relic of St. John Paul II, its namesake saint.

“We are privileged to offer our pilgrims an opportunity to learn about this ‘Mother of the poor,’ who, in the words of St. John Paul II, ‘leaves an eloquent example for everyone, believer and non-believer,” said Stephen White, executive director of the shrine. “She leaves us the witness of God’s love, which she accepted, and which transformed her life into a total gift to her brothers and sisters.’”
