Diocesan grads to enroll at military academies in 2017

Fourteen graduating seniors from five Arlington diocesan high schools will attend military academies this fall.

 

Bishop O’Connell High School in Arlington will send one student. David Koehlmoos will attend the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in New York.

 

Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria will send five students. Samuel Paparo will attend the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md.; John Dodson will go to the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Co.; Morgan DeCanio and Joshua Hensley will attend the U.S. Military Academy; Eric Kwelberg will go to the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Great Neck, N.Y.

 

Paul VI Catholic High School in Fairfax will send two students. Gabriella Gordon will attend the U.S. Naval Academy; Tyler Aucoin will go to the U.S. Military Academy.

 

Saint John Paul the Great Catholic High School in Dumfries has five students. Dakota Briceno and John Donovan Jr. will attend the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy; Aiden Gelbach will go to the U.S. Naval Academy; Cameron Shideler will attend the U.S. Air Force Academy; Thomas Wahlin will go to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

 

Seton School in Manassas will send one student. Joshua Miller will attend the U.S. Naval Academy.
