Woodbridge Knights donate $20,000 to diocesan schools

The Fr. Edwin F. Kelley Knights of Columbus Council in Woodbridge recently donated $10,000 to both St. Thomas Aquinas Regional School in Woodbridge and Saint John Paul the Great Catholic High School in Dumfries.

According to Grand Knight Philip A. Quigley, the money was raised through weekly bingo games at the council hall in addition to monthly pancake breakfasts at Our Lady of Angels Church.

St. Thomas Aquinas School plans on combining the donation with funds raised by middle school students to purchase new school lockers.

Saint John Paul the Great will use the money for its Fine Arts Department to support the school band program.
