A new playground at the Cathedral School of St. Thomas More in Arlington received a special blessing Aug. 21.
Surrounded by dozens of students, Bishop Michael F. Burbidge sprinkled holy water on the new, bright-blue playground equipment, offering a blessing to all present. Joining him were school principal Ann LaBarge and cathedral parochial administrator Father Nicholas Barnes.
After the blessing, the students took to the playground, zooming down its four slides and climbing the teal jungle gym.
