Q: I understand that objects of devotion that have been
blessed (such as palm branches, rosaries, crucifixes, etc.)
should never be simply discarded in the trash, but should be
disposed of by burying them or by burning them and then
burying the ashes. Is this correct? - Via email
Because of our firm belief in God's infinite mercy and His universal salvific will that all should be saved, we have a genuine hope that there is indeed a way of salvation for children who have died without the benefit of Baptism through no fault of their own.
I have heard the priests of my parish encouraging us to go to
confession during Lent. I admit I have not been to confession
in years because I am not sure I know how to go to
confession. With all the changes that occurred in the '60s,
would you please review how to go to confession?
What are origins of Ash Wednesday and the use of ashes?
