The Mother of Light Center in Alexandria, which serves families in need across the diocese, brought together participants for its 2026 fashion show Sept. 26, offering guests not only food but dignity, friendship and joy.

Members of the ministry’s St. Ana Single Mother’s Group, the Come and See teenage group and the Sewing School showcased various international outfits from 10 different countries. The event gave attendees a chance to learn about culture and faith while building lasting bonds to strengthen the community.

Alexandria Mayor Alyia Gaskins attended as a special guest and thanked participants for sharing their talents and heritage, letting them know they are valued among the Alexandria community and beyond.

The event hoped to give attendees newfound encouragement to face life’s difficult moments.
